In addition to our range of EVA polymer-based hotmelts and hot melt adhesives with polyurethane the range of packaging adhesives has been expanded in particular. The PE-based hot melts can improve on a number of points compared to traditional EVA-based adhesives. PE hotmelts have a lower density / specific gravity, and a mostly odorless melting behavior, because of the better adhesion a saving per package by our customers is very likely.
PE based hotmelts are odorless, clear and very thermostable in the melting tank and the heated hoses (160C). The (food) packaging can withstand temperatures between -40 ° C and + 50 ° C.
No angelhair or very minimal spinning
A common problem is hotmelt threads (angel hair). It creates pollution, can reduce adhesion and is a sign of poor hotmelt (melt adhesive) or incorrect equipment settings. Angel hair problems are solved by using a Metallocene hotmelt, but also by increasing the temperature, the use of special hotmelt heads. In addition, there are many more different causes, such as obsolete nozzles, drafts in the machine, or an outdated hot melt (charring).
