PSA – Pressure-Sensitive Hot Melt Adhesives

Pressure-sensitive hot melt adhesives are sticky, even after cooling down. It’s typically used for the production of self adhesive labels and self adhesive tapes. Most PSA hot melt adhesives are thermoplastic rubber-based.

PSA hot melts provide an excellent bond with strong adhesion at room temperature, and a high hot tack in application, manufacturing of the self adherent substrate. Because contact pressure is the key to creating a bond between the adhesive and the joined part, it is called a PSA – pressure-sensitive adhesive.

With pressure-sensitive hot meltadhesives, a wide variety is availabe from strong tamper evident up to spacers and removable types that provide a low adhesion.
