Polyvinyl alcohol is a water-soluble synthetic polymer.
Polyvinyl alcohol is used in, among other things, paper coatings, hairspray and adhesives. But also in polyethylene terephthalate (PET bottles), in toys such as playcorn, putty or slime, in sanitary towels and incontinence products, in filament for 3D printers, and as a casing for medicines (mainly tablets).
PVA usage in adhesives
PVA adhesives are mainly used in paper manufacturing, textile manufacturing, cardboard manufacturing and as coating . PVOH is white in solid and colourless and odourless when dissolved in water.
