Edgebanding adhesives are typically thermoplastic hot-melt adhesives based on ethylene-vinyl acetate-co-polymers (EVA) or on polyolefins. They are solid at room temperature, but when heated they are liquefied and this molten state is processed. By simply cooling these adhesives to ambient temperature, they return to the solid state, thereby obtaining cohesion and hardness of the adhesive bond. Thanks to their fast curing and adhesion on many surfaces, Edge banding hotmelt adhesives are used for automatic and manual edge bonding, both straight and soft forming, as well as the wrapping of profiles, door frames, skirting boards and window sills.
